Wades plan for 2010 season
Unfortunatly it is official that Wade Mattesen will not be returning to the Fournier Motorsports SK Modified Team for the 2010 season. After several conversations with team owners Lou Mattesen and Tim and Laura Fournier Wade has decided to take a year off to complete his work in becoming a full time Firefighter. He will be going back to the CT Fire Academy for two 4 month programs to finish somthing he started last year. As Wade said sooner or later I had to do somthing for a career, I have been racing since I was 5 years old thats 15 full seasons of racing and there's never a good time you just have to make the time. My decision was made to do this witout out racing for the year because I have one of the best teams in the pits and if they want to contend for a points championship next season I want them to have someone who is all in for the whole season. I want to thank all my Sponsors, Team, Family, and Fans who have supported me over the years. I will say I have been around some of the best people you could have in racing and that's what made us successful over the years. If anyone is interesed in what I will be doing you can check it out by going to You Tube and typing in CT Fire Academy and watching the recruit 40 video, That is not me but it is what I will be doing. I am looking forward to the last friday nite race and the Fall Final at Stafford Motor Speedway and seeing all the fans and people that support our racing.
